Employers are responsible under 'Health and Safety' regulations for ensuring the safety of staff at all times. The increase in workers servicing multiple sites who work alone has led to problems for many employers maintaining their 'Duty of Care' responsibilities as their employees are exposed to hazards such as accidents, medical problems, attack and injury. The Colter Lone Worker system provides a simple and inexpensive solution that will help give employers and employees valuable peace of mind. The system can also provide a rich resource for management logistics. 433 MHz low power radio license exempt technologies means no subscritption is needed and therefor the system has a low cost of ownership

OPERATION
	Monitoring starts when the handset is removed from its docking holder which can be installed in a portable or fixed location and continues at 3 times a minute checking that the handset is functioning correctly.
	In the event of the worker not pressing the button on the handset for 5 minutes the unit will bleep at an increasing repetition rate for a further 5 minute period.
	If after the second 5 minute period the worker has not responded by pressing the button on the transmitter the transmitter will go into alarm mode and start sending a distress signal once every second until the transmitter is returned to the docking holder which resets the unit.
	The alarms generated are both audible, visual and tactile on the transmitter and audible and visual on the receiver hub.
	SMS messages sent to a maximum of 3 mobile telephone numbers can also be initiated automatically when in alarm mode.
	The lone worker can force the system into alarm mode by pressing the transmitter button continuously for a period of 8 seconds.

Lone Worker Receiver Hub (Portable Version)

The system is based around a receiver hub which can be either a fixed supervised unit or a un-supervised fixed or portable unit. The receiver can monitor multiple lone worker transmitters at any one time and cover a radius of up to 75 metres with the standard antenna; optional extended ranges of up to 175 metres are available with alternative antennae. Local LED and siren alarms will be initiated upon transmitter alarm signal, loss of transmitter signal. Ingress protection rating of IP 65.
